Make a Gratitude Jar:

  1. Find a jar or box around the house that you can decorate how you want. Be creative and use any art supplies you have around the house.

  2. Once you make your jar, think about the people, places and experiences in your life you are thankful for. Here are 2 examples: I am thankful for the dinner I had tonight, it was my favorite: pizza! I appreciate my grandma because she visited me when I was sick.

  3. Write a new appreciation down every day and place it in your gratitude jar. Here are some sentence starters that may help you:

Today was special because....

Three people who make me happy are...

Something I accomplished today...

Something little that makes me smile...

Something I’m looking forward to...

I was proud of myself today because...

I appreciate (person) because...

Something I am grateful for...

Something I like about my family...
